Animals In Need

Greetings from Wigan, where one-time Animals-in-need resident Chico (now usually called Chicky or Chicks), lives with his boss Jessie (the locally well-known Jack Russell Corgi Cross), and myself, the hunter-gatherer! 

Chicky has been hard work with people, as he still has definite dislikes from his past, and was quite inclined to butt people he didn't know, but is far more confident than he was and gradually making more human friends.  With with other dogs he is quite good and getting quite skilled at at persuading his little bitch out of trouble.   His most assertive moment was when she felt threatened by the attention of  a large dog and he ran at it and hit it with his stick!   Surprise was the order of the day!   Who says dogs don't have a sense of humour!
